# Production Kits

Start a show from a finished starting point. A Production Kit packages everything a production needs — graphics matched to the moments of a show, a workspace layout, and any workflow panel the kit drives — so a new project opens ready to operate instead of empty.

## What’s in this chapter

* [Start from a Production Kit](/get-started/chapter-index-1/start-from-a-production-kit.md) — pick a kit when creating a project, and work with the graphics it stages.
* [Create a Production Kit](/get-started/chapter-index-1/create-a-production-kit.md) — package your own project as a kit others can start from.

## The idea

A kit is built around **moments** — the beats of a production, each matched to a graphic designed for it. Applying a kit creates a project with those graphics staged, arranges the workspace the way the kit’s author intended, and, when the kit carries one, installs the workflow panel that drives the show. Kits travel as single `.kit` files, so a design team can build one and every operator can start from it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://captivatehelp.newbluelive.com/get-started/chapter-index-1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
